Ways to Give

Donate Food

Drop off shelf-stable food items during our open hours. We accept canned goods, dry pasta, rice, cereals, peanut butter, and other non-perishable staples.

Donate Clothing

Gently used or new clothing for all ages is always needed. Seasonal items like winter coats, gloves, and boots are especially appreciated during colder months.

Support Energy Assistance

Help us keep families warm by contributing to our subsidized firewood program or supporting LIHEAP energy assistance referrals during the cold winter months.

Financial Contributions

Monetary donations allow us to purchase items in short supply, cover operational costs, and expand our programs to serve more families.

Volunteer With Us

Our volunteers are the heart of Trees of the Forest. Whether you can give a few hours a month or a few hours a week, there is a role for you.

Sorting & Organizing

Help sort donated food and clothing, and assist with energy assistance program materials to keep our operations organized for visitors.

Distribution Assistance

Greet visitors, help them find what they need, and assist with packing and distributing items during open hours.

Donation Pickup

Help pick up donated items from local businesses, churches, and community members who cannot drop off in person.

Event Support

Assist with seasonal drives, holiday events, back-to-school programs, and other community outreach initiatives.

Administrative Help

Support our team with data entry, phone calls, social media, and other behind-the-scenes tasks that keep us running.

Group Volunteering

Bring your church group, school club, scouts troop, or workplace team for a group volunteering day at our center.
