Learn about our mission, values, and the community we serve in Bridgeton, NJ.
Trees of the Forest is a nonprofit community resource center based in Bridgeton, New Jersey. We are dedicated to supporting individuals and families by providing access to food, clothing, energy assistance, and community-driven support programs. Our work is grounded in the belief that everyone deserves dignity, access to basic needs, and a community that cares.
Trees of the Forest was established in 2009 as a firewood supplier with a simple but powerful mission: keeping families in need warm during the cold months. What started as a neighborly effort to provide essential heating fuel grew into something much bigger as we saw the depth of need in our community.
In 2022, we launched a mobile pantry to bring food directly to families across Cumberland County. Recognizing that hunger doesn't wait, we took our services on the road to meet people where they are, removing barriers to access and ensuring no one in our community goes without a meal.
Now in 2026, with a dedicated space at 591 Shiloh Pike in Bridgeton, NJ, we are expanding into clothing and hygiene needs. Our community resource center provides a welcoming environment where families can access food, warm clothing, hygiene essentials, and energy assistance — all with dignity and without judgment.
Every person who walks through our doors is treated with respect and care. We believe that access to food, clothing, and basic necessities is a right, not a privilege.
We are stronger together. Our programs are powered by volunteers, donors, and local partnerships that reflect the best of what Bridgeton has to offer.
We lead with empathy. Whether someone needs a warm coat, a bag of groceries, or just a kind word, we are here to help without judgment.
We show up consistently for our neighbors. With regular operating hours and dedicated volunteers, our community can count on Trees of the Forest for reliable support.
Whether you want to volunteer, donate, or simply learn more about what we do, we would love to connect with you. Together, we can make a lasting difference in our community.
